For non-crisis mental health assistance over the telephone, these LGBTQ Help lines peer support, information and resources.
- Desi provides a free telephone helpline (sponsored by Trikone) that offers confidential, culturally sensitive peer support, information, and resources LGBTQ South Asians.
- GLBT National Help Center provides vital peer-support, community connections and resource information to people with questions regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Utilizing a diverse group of GLBT volunteers, they operate two national hotlines, the GLBT National Hotline and the GLBT National Youth Talkline.
For emergency housing and shelter, dial 211 to connect with Washington’s centralized resource for health and human services information and referrals. Note this is not a 24-hour help line and hold times can be long. Consult Win211.org for more details and resources.
